Want to camp near the animals at the Milwaukee County Zoo? You can because there are still openings for Wednesday Aug. 10 at the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s (ZSM’s) Snooze at the Zoo, sponsored by Old Orchard Brands and Sentry Foods. When: Available dates for camping are Aug. 10; 5 p.m. start time. The event also runs Aug. 11, 12 and 13 (these dates are filled).
Where: Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Blue Mound Rd., Milwaukee.

Details: Pitch a tent near the Zoo’s Lake Evinrude and snooze near the animals. Each night of this annual ZSM fund-raiser features entertainment and includes a buffet dinner, s’mores around a group campfire and more. The next morning, enjoy a free continental breakfast. Once you’ve taken camping gear back to your car, spend the rest of the day at the Zoo (admission is included in the camping fee). Plus, enjoy discounted admission to the Zoo’s special summer exhibit, Butterflies! In Living Color, sponsored by Sendik’s Food Markets. (Exhibit admission is normally $2 per person).
Other details: Get Snooze registration discounts when you send in a Sentry Foods cash-register receipt showing the purchase of four 64-ounce Old Orchard juices or blends (see details online).
