Pre-register for Feb. 25 Bowl-a-Thon by Feb. 17
Event benefits animals at the Milwaukee County Zoo
to have fun and help the animals at the Milwaukee County Zoo? Then come to the
Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s (ZSM) annual Beastly Bowl-a-Thon! Everyone from youngsters to ace bowlers can
compete for cool gadgets and fun family packages at this Feb. 25 event, which benefits
the ZSM’s Sponsor an Animal program. When you sponsor an animal, you’re helping
support every animal at the Zoo. Please see below for details.
What: The Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s Beastly Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser.
Where: AMF Bowlero, 11737 W. Burleigh St., Wauwatosa.
When: Feb. 25, 2012. Two shifts of bowling are offered: 11:30 a.m. (check-in begins 10:30 a.m.) and 2:30 p.m. (check-in begins 1:30 p.m.).
Why: To raise funds for the Zoological Society’s Sponsor an Animal program, which helps support all animals at the Zoo.
Registration: Register online at zoosociety.org or call (414) 258-2333 by Feb. 17. Registrations will be accepted at the door unless the event fills before Feb. 25.
How much: The $20 entry fee for bowlers includes pizza samples donated by Palermo’s® Pizza, shoe rental, three games of bowling and more. New this year: we’re offering a special fee of $10 for bowlers who are age 10 and under. Remember, you can sponsor one lane for $40 or two for $75—a great way to promote your business while supporting the animals. The $135 “ZOOrific” team package includes entry for five bowlers and a lane sponsorship featuring your team or company name. The $5 entry fee for non-bowlers includes snacks. (All fees include 5.6 % WI sales tax and are not tax-deductible.)
Prizes: Qualify for fun Zooper Grand prizes with a minimum of $100 in pledges. The Zooper Dooper Prize goes to the person who raises the most in pledges.
Other details: To reserve one or more lanes (maximum of five bowlers per lane), sponsor a lane, or donate a prize, call Becky at (414) 258-2333 by Feb. 17. Bumper bowling is available for children, and the lanes are handicapped-accessible.
