Foamy Froth and Fierce Felines – Oct. 25

An evening on the couch with a cold beer and your kitty cat is nice. But you could step it up a notch and spend the night with BIG cats, fun people and great brews at Zoo Brew, the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s annual beer-tasting fundraiser on Oct. 25. While Milwaukee has a lot of beer-tastings, this is the only one situated among lions, tigers, cheetahs and jaguars, which you’ll find in the Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat County at the Milwaukee County Zoo. The event also takes place in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place and Peck Welcome Center. Try libations from more than 20 breweries, ranging from major ones like Leinenkugel to smaller craft breweries like the New Glarus Brewing Company and Capital Brewing. At least 16 vendors also will offer light bites such as pizza, soup, sausage, cheese, ice cream and more. This fundraiser helps support the 2012-2013 Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s annual appeal.
