Ray Wilson Named Zoological Society Chairman
The Zoological Society of Milwaukee Board of Directors named Ray Wilson as its next chairman at the Society’s annual meeting. Wilson, of New Berlin, is managing partner of the Milwaukee office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and has been a Society board member since 2006. He previously served as vice chair of the Board. Wilson succeeds Caroline Krider, senior vice president at U.S. Bank. Krider will remain on the executive committee as immediate past chair.
The Board named Gregory Wesley, senior vice president of strategic alliances and business development at the Medical College of Wisconsin, as a vice chair and Derek Tyus, vice president and chief investment officer at West Bend Mutual Insurance Co., as treasurer. Michael M. Grebe, chief legal officer at Aurora Health Care, and Maria Gonzalez Knavel, retired partner at Foley & Lardner, will remain as vice chair and secretary, respectively.
The Board also recently appointed the following new members:
- Eric Christophersen, president of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation
- Christine Culver, vice president of development and member relations at the United Performing Arts Fund
- Peter Hammond, managing director of client services at Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc.
The Society’s Board of Directors provides oversight and direction for the Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, as it fulfills its mission to conserve wildlife and endangered species, educate people about the importance of wildlife and the environment, and support the Milwaukee County Zoo.
