Sharing Space with Chimps: Studying how humans affect chimpanzee habitat in Africa
Researcher Chris Duvall, with financial support from the Zoological Society of Milwaukee, studied habitat shared by humans and chimps in the western Africa country of Mali. He documented the types of plants that chimpanzees eat, which, he said, “may help zookeepers expand the range or characteristics of fods they feed captive chimpanzees.”
