A Blood Mystery: Finding the right blood tests to help endangered whooping cranes
A blood mystery: How do you help endangered whooping cranes by determining the best ways to test their blood for diseases and the best ways to handle the blood samples. Joan Maurer, a Veterinary Technician at the Milwaukee County Zoo, received field research grants funded by the Zoological Society of Milwaukee, to go to Baraboo, Wis., to conduct this research at the International Crane Foundation.
