Keep your cats indoors

Cats kill birds. It’s instinct. Even a well-fed cat will hunt down birds and kill them. One study in 1996 estimated that rural, outdoor cats kill more than seven million birds each year in Wisconsin.

What can you do?

Keep your pet cat happy by playing with it indoors. Keep the cat indoors at all times. It’s safer for birds. It’s also safer for cats. Cats that go outdoors pick up diseases and bugs. They may be hit by cars. They can be attacked by other animals. You’ll enjoy your cat more if you know it’s safe and healthy.
