Planning a Successful Zoo Field Trip

  • For self-directed Zoo visits ONLY, please register via www.zoosociety.org/fieldtrips. You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration.
  • For desired Learning Adventure program(s), register early, but consider your travel times. What time can you arrive at the Zoo and when must you return to school? Groups arriving late will forfeit part or all of their program(s).
  • Register for programs at least four weeks prior to your visit. For program registrations only, call (414) 258-5058, Mon.-Fri., 8:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. In order for your students to receive full attention, no unregistered children may attend.
  • You will receive free or discounted admissions only if you register your trip with Zoological Society Conservation Education.
  • Please notify us if you have students with certified special needs.
  • One adult chaperone is required for every 10 students, regardless of age level.

Schools within Milwaukee County receive FREE ZOO ADMISSION November 1 – March 31. Parking fees still apply.

Milwaukee County Schools
Monday-Friday:
FREE ADMISSION

Non-Milwaukee County Schools
All days: $6.25 for Preschool-8th grade; $9.25 for 9th grade and above (including adults).
One free chaperone admission per 10 students.

April 1 - October 31, 2008

Milwaukee County Schools
Wednesdays only: $3.50 for Preschool-8th grade; $6.00 for 9th grade and above (including adults). Note: Chaperones pay admission.
All other days: $4.50 for Preschool-8th grade; $7.50 for 9th grade and above (including adults). One free chaperone admission per 10 students.

Non-Milwaukee County Schools
All days: $6.25 for Preschool–8th grade; $9.25 for 9th grade and above (including adults). One free chaperone admission per 10 students.

2008 PARKING RATES
$10 per car/van
$14 per bus (if bus stays on Zoo grounds)

Zoo admission/parking MUST be paid at the gate. Please make school check payable to Milwaukee County Zoo. Personal checks are not accepted.

SPECIAL-NEEDS RATES
Children with certified special needs (physical, learning, or cognitive disabilities) and their chaperones receive complimentary admission/parking. Registration required.
