Early Childhood Educator Workshops
Preschool through 2nd grade teachers
Program Fee: $30 (includes admission & parking)
Program Time: 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Early childhood teachers learn engaging, developmentally appropriate and interactive ways to present animal lessons to their students. These workshops include: animal background information, classroom station ideas, project samples and a Zoo tour. Registry-approved training certificates provided. Course time: 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Workshop content mainly for educators of ages 2-5. To register, click on the links below or call 414-258-5058.

UWM Credit Courses at the Zoo
Learn techniques to develop study units and how to use the Zoo as a teaching resource. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee offers one-credit courses at the Zoo. Courses include Zoo tours. Teachers can earn undergraduate or graduate credit. Course time: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Call UWM School of Education – Academic Affairs, 414-229-4750, for information and registration. One course is taught each semester.
