EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR WORKSHOPS
Preschool through second-grade teachers
Program Fee: $20 (includes admission & parking)
Program Time: 9:30 – Noon
Early-childhood teachers can learn fun ways to present animal units to their students during this 2½-hour class. This workshop includes: animal background information, classroom station ideas, project samples and a Zoo tour. (Registry-approved training certificates provided.) UWM CREDIT COURSES AT THE ZOO
Learn techniques to develop study units and how to use the Zoo as a teaching resource. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee offers one-credit courses at the Zoo. Courses include Zoo tours. Teachers can earn undergraduate or graduate credit. Course time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Call UWM Outreach, (414) 229-5255, for information and registration. One course is taught each semester.
Endangered Species

Study of the World’s Predators & Carnivores

Delve into the world of flesh eaters. Through tours, discussions, and activities, this course will dispel myths and explore the facts about diverse groups of carnivorous animals.
