Performance Request
Request Kohl’s Wild Theater to visit your school, festival or community event. Reservation requests will be reviewed and confirmed by the Kohl’s Wild Theater Outreach Coordinator.
Please make sure your venue meets the following requirements prior to submitting a request.
Performance Requirements:
- We provide our own sound equipment and the necessary materials for the show. All we need is a working electrical outlet and stage space of at least 18 x 20 feet.
- Performances can be booked, free of charge, within a one-hour radius of the Milwaukee County Zoo.
- Performances are typically 45 minutes in length with time included for questions from the audience.
- Minimum audience of 100 for schools (or all-school assembly for schools with less than 100 students).
- Outdoor stage space needs to be covered and have flooring or pavement. We cannot perform on grass or dirt.
- The actors require approximately one-hour before and after the performance for set-up and tear-down

Travel to rain forests around the equator in this 40-minute show. It starts with a wild chase through a South American jungle in "The Spot of the Jaguar." Next, audiences journey across the globe to the rain forests of Borneo to protect orangutans in "A Climb Through Time." Concepts presented include rain forest habitats, predator-prey relationships, benefits of the rain forest, and what kids can do from home to conserve these natural treasures. Most appropriate for grades 1-5 and families with children of all ages.
Vampires, aliens, and more! This back-to-back blockbuster includes short plays featuring Wisconsin animals. Join Detective Appletree in exploring Wisconsin's forests
and waters in "The Strange Case of the Alien Invasion." Then fly with Jonathan Batfield in "The Legend of Hibernacula," a musical about the benefits of bats. Concepts
presented include Wisconsin habitats, invasive species, adaptations, and actions children can take to protect Wisconsin's wildlife. Most appropriate for grades 1-5 and families with children of all ages.
Join the KWT actors in this 30-minute mix of short skits about animals and conservation. Learn about easy actions children can take from home to help animals and their habitats. Children will experience fun turtle puppets, songs sung by an otter and salamander, the "trashmonster" and so much more. This shorter show can be tailored to fit a wide range of
audience ages and venue sizes. Most appropriate for grades Pre-K through 5 and families with children of all ages.
Learn about the animals found right in your own backyard! This 45-minute show includes "The Mysterious Case of the Disappearing Bees," where Detective
Appletree needs your help to uncover the critical role bees play in Wisconsin agriculture. Then the audience joins the Wisconsin whooping cranes to cheer on a badger and wolf in "The Great Wisconsin Zoo-per Bowl." Concepts presented include pollination, habitats, animal adaptations, and more! Most appropriate for grades 1-5 and families with children of all ages.
Polar bears and penguins may live on opposite sides of the globe, but this 45-minute show teaches children what they can do to help these magnificent animals
from home. Join a film crew in "Lights, Camera, Arctic!" to help Ursus the polar bear slow the effects of global climate change. Then the audience will become pirates
to help a Humboldt penguin find its treasure in "The Treasure of the Sea." Concepts presented include habitats, energy conservation, and sustainable seafood, and more! Most appropriate for grades 1-5 and families with children of all ages.
