As you walk around visiting your favorite animals with your family and friends, you’re seeing only a part of the Milwaukee County Zoo. Behind-the-scenes, zookeepers, curators and other staff members are working hard to care for the animals and maintain the exhibits. On March 11 and 12, you’ll have the chance to take a peek at what they do and much more during Behind-the-Scenes Weekend. Head on over to see what’s growing in the Zoo’s greenhouses. Venture to the Winter Quarters where the warm-weather animals stay during the frigid winter months. If you love trains, don’t miss learning about the Zoo’s steam and diesel engines at the Train Shop. Once you go behind-the-scenes, your perspective of the Zoo will be broadened.
