Maybe you’ve wondered what goes on behind the exhibits at the Milwaukee County Zoo? Or maybe you get so engrossed by the animals you never considered what happens behind the scenes? To keep the Zoo operating, a lot goes on in places where the public normally cannot go. On March 12 and 13, however, you’ll get to see areas like Winter Quarters, where the Zoo’s warm-weather animals stay during the cold months. You can also see what’s growing in the Zoo’s greenhouses and go behind the scenes in the Aquatic & Reptile Center. Finally, visit the Commissary to find out what it takes to feed the Zoo’s 3,122 animals.
