Ride on the Wild Side 2014
Forming teams for our annual bike ride is a fun way to get together with your human friends to help support your animal friends at the Milwaukee County Zoo! Teams require a minimum of 5 members and can include friends, neighbors, co-workers, family, etc.
Why Form a Team?
Forming a team* for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s (ZSM's) Ride on the Wild Side, sponsored by Wheaton Franciscan – Midwest Spine & Orthopedic Hospital/Wisconsin Heart Hospital and St. Joseph campuses, is a fun way to promote your company or organization and support the ZSM at the same time! Forming a team is also a great way to promote wellness and unity within your group.
* Teams are defined as a group of five or more riders.
Registration is easy!
For online registration, the team captain creates a team code on our website. The captain then registers all the riders, or distributes the team code so riders can register individually.
If you would like to have your team logo printed on the back of your Ride shirts*, you will need to provide us with artwork on a disk or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) in one of the required formats: .eps, .jpeg, .pdf, or .tif. Logo must be black and white. The logo imprint fee ($25) will be waived for teams of 10 or more.
The last day to form a team is Sept. 3, 2014.
- If we participated last year, do we need to send our logo again?
Yes. Team logos must be submitted each year.
- Is there an additional fee to just have the team name printed on the shirt and not a logo or artwork?
Yes. The same guidelines apply for logo and artwork as well as simply placing your team name on the shirt.
- Do all the team members have to ride the same route?
No, each rider can choose among any of the four available bike routes.
- When will our T-shirts be ready?
You will be notified the week of the ride when your team’s shirt order is ready for pick up. Orders can be picked up at the ZSM’s office, located in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place at the Zoo. Shirts may also be picked up the day of the ride.
