Centennial Birthday Party Photos
The Zoological Society of Milwaukee celebrated its 100th birthday on Jan. 9, 2010, at the Zoo. The Centennial Celebration Kickoff, sponsored by Tri City National Bank, featured Old World Wisconsin historical interpreters, a barbershop quartet, a museum-style photo history of the Zoological Society, retro kids’ games, a cake-decorating contest and other fun.

This sheet cake with the Zoological Society’s 100th anniversary logo was one of the cakes donated by bakeries participating in the cake-decorating contest. Visitors to the Zoo got free cake as they viewed 16 submitted contest cakes. Visitors also enjoyed free popcorn courtesy of Tri City National Bank, the event’s sponsor, and free hot chocolate and coffee thanks to Nestlé® and Alterra Coffee Roasters, in paper cups donated by Chinet®.
