The late philanthropist Bill Borchert Larson (shown in a statue in back) gave the major gift that made possible the 2005 Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country building (named after his mother). Elizabeth Borchert is a second cousin of and Rublein is a third cousin of Larson, who died in 2006.
