Meerkat Mania
The Milwaukee County Zoo’s four meerkats are some of the liveliest animals at the Zoo. When they aren’t romping in their Small Mammals Building exhibit, they take turns “watching” for predators as they would in the wild. It’s all about family to the sociable meerkats who live in colonies of about 10-20 in their native Africa. They will even take turns "babysitting" or watching out for predators.
