Welcome Mahal, the latest addition to the Milwaukee County Zoo’s orangutan family. Mahal, a male baby orangutan, came to the Zoo from Colorado in February because his mother could not care for him. Our Zoo’s resident female orangutan, M.J., took over as the surrogate mom. Sponsor Mahal through the Zoological Society’s Sponsor an Animal program and help support all the animals at the Zoo. This limited-time offer is only available through September 30, 2008.
The package includes:
- A 12-inch, plush-toy baby orangutan
- A certificate of sponsorship
- Information about orangutans
- An invitation to Animal Safari, an event for animal sponsors at the Zoo in August
- Sponsor recognition on our “All in the Family” donor board for a year

The tax-deductible portion of this sponsorship is $19. Merchandise included in the package is not tax-deductible and includes 5.6% WI sales tax. Plush-toy offer good while supplies last.
