With their powerful calls and elaborate courtship dances, the elegant and graceful whooping crane has captivated people for centuries. These endangered birds – which once numbered only 16 - are making a slow and steady comeback. At one time hitting a low of 16 birds there are now close to 400 migratory and non-migratory birds in North America.
Sponsor the Milwaukee County Zoo’s whooping crane pair, Torch and Tiki, for only $30 and help support all the animals at the Zoo. An animal sponsorship is a great gift for birthdays, anniversaries or even a special Valentine’s Day “treat!” This limited-time offer is available through March 31, 2012.

This valentine sponsorship is only $30 and can be mailed anywhere in the continental United States.

The tax-deductible portion of this sponsorship is $17. Merchandise included in the package is not tax-deductible and includes 5.6% WI sales tax. Plush-toys and candy offers are good while supplies last.

The proceeds from the Sponsor an Animal program enhance animal exhibits and help all of the animals at the Zoo. In accordance with WI Statute 440.455, a financial statement of the Zoological Society will be provided upon request.
