Here's a simple way to have a HUGE impact on the Zoological Society's fund-raising.
Get a matching gift from your employer!
Many corporations will match the gifts made by their employees and retirees to a qualified non-profit organization.
The Zoological Society of Milwaukee has been fortunate to receive thousands of dollars in matching gifts. These gifts have enabled us to increase our support of the Milwaukee County Zoo. We have improved animal habitats, funded conservation programs and expanded educational opportunities.
Companies usually match the tax-deductible portion of your gift, which means that your membership, animal sponsorship and Annual Appeal contributions could qualify.
Members and donors need to pay for their membership, sponsorship or appeal donation. We acknowledge the "match" from your employer as a separate contribution from the corporation. Due to corporate-giving guidelines, members and donors cannot receive any benefits from the "match" of their gift.
This flyer lists companies actively donating to the Zoological Society through matching gift programs. If your employer is not currently on the list, we ask for your help in requesting that your corporation consider the Zoological Society as a matching gift recipient.
Here's how to double your dollar donations to the Zoological Society of Milwaukee in three easy steps:
- Locate your company's name on this list. If your company isn't on our list, find out if it has a matching gift program.
- Obtain a matching gift form from your personnel, human resources, or charitable giving office.
- Send the completed form with your donation to the Zoological Society, 10005 W. Blue Mound Road, Milwaukee, WI 53226. (If you have already donated, just send the completed form. Depending on your company's guidelines, we still may be able to obtain a match.) Note: Some companies have a phone number or e-mail address to contact rather than a form to complete.
