Field Trip to Galena, Ill.

See a part of American history and shop unique boutiques in this Zoological Society field trip to Galena, Ill. Travel with us on Sept. 22, as we head to this beautiful city along the Mississippi River. Once we arrive, you are free to take in the historical sites, including the home of the 18th President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant. Other buildings from the late 1800s are still used today and grace the streets with their unique architecture. While enjoying the scenery you can’t miss the more than 100 storefronts featuring clothing, jewelry, specialty items and collectibles. Dozens of restaurants are waiting for you to stop in and enjoy lunch.
This trip is only open to Zoo Pass members and their guests. Space is limited so sign up now. Registration starts at 6:15 a.m. at the Milwaukee County Zoo, and breakfast is included when you arrive. Buses leave for Galena at 7 a.m. and return by 8 p.m. Snacks will be given out on the return trip. (Note to those with allergies: Snacks may include dairy and peanut byproducts.) An itinerary will be mailed prior to the trip.

Cancellations through Sept. 10, 2018, are refundable, less a $10 per person cancellation fee. Cancellations after Sept. 10, 2018, are not refundable. Trip cost is not tax-deductible. To comply with WI Statute Section 440.455, a financial statement of the Zoological Society will be provided upon request.
