The MillerCoors Giraffe Experience
The Zoo’s MillerCoors Giraffe Experience features an outdoor enclosure for the African giraffes; a deck that lets zoogoers get face to face with and feed the giraffes; a temperature-controlled indoor public viewing area; and animal-care areas.
Want to Feed the Giraffes?
Join us for an unforgettable experience. You and others in your small group will be with a knowledgeable guide for about ½ hour. The guide will bring the giraffe to you, talk about the giraffe, answer your questions, and allow you to feed the animals. For more details, see below.
Tickets, Location and Start Times
May 4-October 18, 2015 - Weather Permitting*
Two giraffe feedings are offered at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a fee (weather permitting).
Limited spaces; visit the merchandise cart located near the giraffe feeding area for details and tickets.
* The temperature must be above 50 degrees, and the weather conditions calm and dry for the feedings to take place. Also, please note that during some popular events, such as A la Carte in August, giraffe feedings will be canceled. Please contact the Zoo at 414-771-3040 if you have questions.
Tickets will be sold beginning 15 minutes prior to the feeding start time until the feeding is over or until sold out. Tickets will be sold at a merchandise cart located near the giraffe feeding area. Tickets must be purchased the same day as feeding. All participants must be present at time of purchase. There will be 35 tickets sold per feeding. For each feeding session, tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
