Drive for a Cause
Playing for birdie takes on a whole new meaning during this fundraiser for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. The 29th annual Birdies & Eagles charity golf tournament is held at the Ozaukee Country Club. The press is invited to cover the sold-out event, as nearly 150 golfers compete for bragging rights. Golfers will be equipped with a cart and will have the chance to compete in different course contests. A bird of prey will also make an appearance for a great visual. Last year’s event raised more than $103,000 for the Zoological Society and its support of the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Photo opportunities include a “Beat the Sportscaster” contest. Players can try to out drive Chuck Friemund from the “Chuck & Winkler” show on Sportsradio 105.7 FM.
