Reptile Rescuer: Zookeeper Chad Pappas spends much of his free time in spring, summer and fall doing field research on endangered or threatened snakes.

Whether it’s a venomous massasauga rattlesnake or a harmless Butler’s garter snake, zookeeper Chad Pappas enjoys looking for snakes. His field research helps determine conservation measures for snakes and gives tips on how to care for snakes in captivity.
