Join the “Herd”
Elephants are highly social and live in groups called herds. Herds are comprised of females, called cows, and their offspring. The oldest and most experienced cow is usually the matriarch. She decides when and where the herd eats, rests and travels. Elephants maintain strong, family-like relationships. Have you “herd” about the Milwaukee County Zoo’s new elephant? In November 2019, Belle joined the Zoo’s resident African elephants, Brittany and Ruth.
Join the herd and sponsor Belle this summer. This makes a great gift idea for birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions. This limited-time offer is available through Aug. 31, 2020 or while supplies last.
