Zoo Rates & Hours

Hours

Zoo hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Zoo admission gates close at 3:15 p.m.) Beginning June 19 through Sept. 6, Zoo hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Admission gates will close at 4:15 p.m.)

Animal buildings close 15 minutes prior to Zoo closing time.

Beginning June 1, masks will no longer be required in outdoor areas at the Zoo. Masks and physical distancing will continue to be required inside all Zoo buildings. All buildings are open at limited capacity with the exception of Primates of the World and Small Mammals, which remain closed. The Small Mammals Building will reopen in early June.

Milwaukee County Zoo Admission Fees

  • January 2 through March, 2021
    Adults: $14.25
    Child (3 to 12): $11.25
    Child (2 and under): Free
    Senior Citizen (age 60 and over): $12.75

  • April 1 through October 31, 2021
    Adults: $16.75
    Child (3 to 12): $13.75
    Child (2 and under): Free
    Senior Citizen (age 60 and over): $15.75

  • November 1 through December 31, 2021
    Adults: $14.25
    Child (age 3 to 12): $11.25
    Child (2 and under): Free
    Senior Citizen (age 60 and over): $12.75

Milwaukee County residents with I.D. receive $1.75 off full price paid admission everyday except Wednesday. On Wednesdays, Milwaukee County residents are admitted at a reduced rate of $10.50 for adults and $8 for children (age 3 to 12).

Zoo Pass free Zoo admission and parking do not apply when visiting the Zoo on a school field trip or with a company picnic.
