The Bernard J. Peck Memorial Financial Aid Scholarship

The Bernard J. Peck Memorial Financial Aid Scholarship is an opportunity for families and individuals to receive funds for Zoo Camps. Award is based on demonstration of financial need and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis within the application window. Recipients can apply the scholarship to Zoo Camps in their age category or a family camp.

Bernard “Bernie” Peck was a well-known Milwaukee philanthropist and a longtime supporter of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County Zoo. In addition to serving on the Society’s Board of Directors, he supported Animal Ambassador, a program for schools in economically challenged neighborhoods that allows students to visit the Zoo and learn about animal science. His family foundation helped fund the Peck Welcome Center and the Karen Peck Katz Conservation Education Center. After his death in 2015, his family established the Bernard J. Peck Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund to honor his legacy.
